This track was taken from Annoying Customer's original four song demo cassette tape. The demo also included songs "Pants On Fire", "Cincinnati", and "Fallout" but "Delaware" was unique in that this was the only recorded version of the song until 2011 when AC recorded a new version for the 3rd volume of NotRock Sampler.

In 2020 Liz had this to say about it: Shawn wrote this song about his then girlfriend, Lara. This was the first time Shawn asked me to sing back-ups on a song and I remember being very nervous when we recorded it...you can just barely hear my high pitch nervous vocals towards the end of the song. I have a very clear memory of listening to this song on a Walkman during a class in high school right after we recorded it
