Back in 2008 Adam and Anna decided Insouciant should have a Christmas song. They had the bones of the song worked out already when they brought it to John & Bryan. This was the first time all 4 members would have substantial vocal parts in a song. This demo was recorded by Bryan at his parents house in Jefferson. John purchased some really shoddy jingle bell wreaths from sears and that's what you hear at the head and tale of the track. Once the track was completed a very small amount were made into CDs and distributed at show shortly thereafter. When it came time to track all the songs for Fall & Search Party the band also included this one. At the time the song was essentially the same and recorded that way but was then, (with James' smart input) edited down and restructured into the superior version most people know today. This is a cool look at how the song was originally.
